BACKGROUND: Educating students has been my life focus. Even before graduating from CSU, Chico, I began working with preschool and elementrary aged children. I have experience with all ages & grades from pre-K through high school graduation. Nearly all my teaching experiences has been in very small groups or one-on-one. Working individually with each student is most rewarding to me and being able to customize lessons to meet a student's specific need is very gratifying. One of my strengths is establishing an academic plan to achieve student goals. I have teaching experience through private schools, homeschool, volunteer settings and in public schools through Supplemental Student Services (SES), No Child Left Behind (NCLB), and Foster Youth Services (FYS).

Hobbies
I enjoy all kinds of creative arts & crafts and love teaching our annual Vacation Bible School craft class. My year round veggie and herb gardens are an ongoing pleasure. More recent interests include crafting handmade herbal remedies and miniature succulent gardens. I like to apply my creative side to making games and hands on activities that help my students understand concepts I am teaching them.
